Daybreak Magazine.

Stoked to have a interview this year in the second issue of a new magazine called “Daybreak”. It was nice to explain what’s goes through my head, and what’s in store for the future. Also the mag is great quality, and paper. Thank you for the opportunity Chuck & Daybreak! If you want you can purchase one at the link below.

Weekend in Palm Springs.

A couple weeks ago I went to a friends wedding in Palm Springs. It was so nice to get away for a long weekend. I had every intention of just chilling out, but I had to rent a car and drive to the desert. It was so much fun driving solo in the middle of nowhere, and I eventually made it to Roy’s on route 66 which was a place I always wanted to see. The drive there was so amazing through all the mountains. The main goal after all that was to take a flower double exposure in Los Angeles and take the second photo here in Detroit. I somehow pulled it off exactly how I wanted but i’ll have to show that at another time! Such a great trip, congrats Donald & Annie! Below are some of my favorite shots taken with my F100 & Portra400.

Psych Blues Test Film #5/6.

I was super hyped to find out Psych Blues was releasing a new “test” film. It’s a combination of numbers 5 and 6. I couldn’t wait to try it out as i’m a big fan of all the other films he has. Here are a few of my favorites from the first two rolls I shot. I highly recommend to try it out!

2020 MC Photo Annual.

I was really hyped to find out this photo got runner up in the 2020 Monster Children photo contest. I am always happy to get a photo in their magazine as it is one of my favorites because of the size, paper, and content. To me, it combines art, music, and action sports in a great way. The 2020 photo annual has some really great stuff in it and I feel it documents what the world went through last year. I also really like that you can choose between two different cover photos.

The day that I took this photo was near the beginning of covid and I would have normally been at work at this time of day. I was at my moms then I decided to go back home and once I got back to Detroit I noticed a big cloud of smoke. I had my camera with me so I figured i’d see whats up. The fire was at a vacant apartment building near La Salle Gardens. I shot a bunch of photos with my Nikon F100, 70-200 lens, and Kodak Portra 400. If you go back a few posts you’ll see “fire in la salle gardens” I posted all the photos there. I was really happy with the results. Taking fire department photos would be a dream job.

35mm Double Exposures.

Since covid I have been taking tons of pictures and working on a bunch of different personal projects. However most of my time is spent trying new 35mm double exposures. It’s super fun and even when I don’t get it right it is fun to keep learning and trying different ways to make it work. I want to have a show on the concept whenever the world is back to normal but for now here are a few that I have posted already. Enjoy.

Psych blues #6

Shot some of the new Psychadelic Blues Film #6. If you know me you know I love all his films and I was anxious to shoot the new one. Here’s a few favorites from my first roll.

Stay Safe Detroit.

Rode my bike and skateboard around downtown a couple different days over the last two weeks to see how it looked. Never thought I’d see it this empty again, but we need that. Shot with Minolta x-700 / Portra 800, and Nikon f100 / Portra 400. Stay safe everyone!

New Stuff.

Here’s some end of 2019 beginning of 2020 stuff that I got published in skate jawn & north. Stay safe!

Lawton Street Fire.

Randomly came across a fire on Lawton street at a house i’ve photographed numerous times. Hyped to shoot some psych blues film at a fire finally.
