Evan Hutchings

I grew up in Plymouth a suburb of Detroit. I first started skateboarding when I was 12 years old. Shortly after I picked up my first camera as a hand me down from my mom. I had a lot of friends that were into photography, took photo classes in high school then stopped shooting for awhile. I went to college at Schoolcraft college where I got an associates degree in business. I also wrote a business plan for an indoor skate park while going there. I started The Streets Skate Park in December 2010. It was open until November 2013. We struggled in the summers and had to close because of financial problems. Shortly after I acquired my first digital camera which is what I am still using right now and I am loving it! My favorite thing to shoot is skateboarding hands down!

I currently live in Detroit and work with two non-profit organizations, Brainard Street Social Club & Community Push. I'm proud to live in a city where you can watch it change right in front of your eyes, and creativity is thriving.
